PROJECT INFO

Practicing my hand at a vector/infographic style and being recently inspired by Christopher Nolan’s movie Interstellar, I decided to focus on the idea of time dilation—a concept in which time slows down for objects moving at very high speeds, especially near the speed of light. This piece aims to inform viewers about time dilation and Einstein’s theory of relativity. Preproduction spanned multiple weeks and included mood-boarding, conceptualization, and asset creation in Illustrator and Photoshop. Animation mainly taking place in After Effects. Voiced by Evan Brewer with sound design by Ashton Helms.

PROCESS

PROCESS

My process for this project was pretty straightforward. I began with my rough storyboard, a mindmap, and color pallete. Throughout 4.5 weeks, I created vector assets in Adobe Illustrator and transfered them to After Effects via the plug-in Overlord.
